I am a lifelong vegetarian and wanted to get some nutrients that vegetarians frequently are missing in their diets. Seven years ago, I had thyroid cancer and lost both the thyroid and parathyroid so I needed additional minerals that I could no longer metabolize easily. The RDA seemed to provide these minerals. The radical neck resection together with the radiation treatment for cancer, after seven years, has weakened the structures required for swallowing. This causes aspirating and I had to have a feeding tube (PEG tube). The problem with getting all your nutrition through a tube through your abdomen into your stomach is that a lot of liquid must be added to the food. This fills you quickly, often before you have enough nutrition. This problem is called nutrient density. Canned products (Jevity, Glucerna, etc.) have no food in them. Read the label; just chemicals. They have too much fat and not enough protein and fiber, and none of the micro nutrients and, as yet undiscovered, components of real live food. So it is desirable to add real food to the prescribed formulae, a blenderized diet. In order to make such a diet dense enough in nutrients I add your Brewer's yeast and Fabulous Super Fiber. (Thank you for the extra Fabulous Fiber. It may work better.) After two weeks, this approach is working very well. It has resolved my intestinal problems and recovery from my last bout with cancer was much quicker than expected. It is obvious that you care about your customer's health. Dear Lewis Labs: I first started using your "Fiber Yeast"
when I was expecting my son, who is now 24 years old. I have
used it continuously since then. Even when I lived abroad
for 6 years, I would replenish my supply when I visited the
U.S. I had always bought it, one can at a time, in stores,
and sometimes it was out of stock - very frustrating. Now I
am delighted to be able to buy it in bulk online. I don't
usually talk about "regularity" in public but with my daily
scoop of Fiber Yeast, "clockwork" would be the best word for
me! I am 59 years old, eat lots of spicy foods and never
have indigestion, heartburn or constipation. I think Woody
Allen described fiber as "sandpaper for the bowel" - that's
a good description for Fiber Yeast. It doesn't taste great -

The Lecithin from Lewis Labs Testimonials

She told me that you cannot make any medical claims about the benefits from Lecithin so I thought I would tell you about my use of it and what benefits my husband and I are getting by using it. Both of us have a lot of joint pain in our knees and also a lot of stiffness in the joints. We began using the Lecithin by mixing one tablespoon of Lecithin with orange juice or pineapple juice daily. We didn't realize it all at once how much good it was doing but we realized we were walking better and having only a twinge now and then. About two weeks ago, we had to leave home real early in the morning and missed our daily use of Lecithin. We realized after three days we were getting stiff in the knees again and having trouble climbing stairs.
We went back to our daily dosage and now we are fine again.

I personally think Over 40 is better than the other vitamin pills on
the --------------------------------------------------- I have tried other so called "protein powders" as my daily breakfast drink but always return to the Lewis Labs Over 40 formula. I am partial to the vanilla custard flavor. I first used the product, probably 10 years ago, when only the "original" flavor was available. In the past 5 years or so, I have tried powders offered by my local grocery store, Puritan's Pride (do not recall the name) and more recently PH Balance Alkalizing Formula from Swanson's. These products cost less, but there is no comparison with the quality of your product. Yesterday I placed an order for 12 each of the Over 40 formula and I do not intend to try other products in the future so long as you maintain the quality you have in the past. In March 2004 both of my thumbs were diagnosed with arthritis by a hand specialist. I am 58 years old. In March 2004 I started taking Staminex every day. I used to repair nuclear reactors for a living as a nuclear technician. We would create one-of-a-kind robotics to repair specific problems in a reactor due to age and running conditions. We would build these systems at our home site and then accompany them to the reactor site, set them up and do the work, then break them down, decontaminate them and send them back home to get repaired and refitted for the next site. Sometimes we would work ten to twelve hour days, seven days a week, for months on end. Then we would take off to another reactor at another nuclear facility. Once there, you would be "on site" for twelve to fourteen hours a day, seven days a week. Sometimes you would be working in a high radiation area, where your time, exposure to radiation, and work skills would be part of what they call "critical path", which meant that your job was the most important job at the nuclear site, not to mention under intense scrutiny by the people paying you to do the job and also the people who were there to protect you from overexposure and safety. Talk about pressure! You might have to fly across the country, 'challenge' a five day test just to get into the facility, jump into a high radiation area on critical path, and be able to have the energy, stamina, and clarity to complete the job. Not to mention wearing all of the protective clothing; four to six pairs of gloves, mechanic-type overalls covered in water proof wet suits, and a full face respirator whose face shield fogged over every time you breathed and filled up with sweat that would slosh around inside it. It wasn't always like that every day, but sometimes you worked for up to twenty-eight days before you got a day off. I needed something that was going to help me in getting over jet-lag, give me energy to get through the day for endurance, and also something to help handle the stress of the day to day working conditions, not to mention being thousands of miles away from home and family. I had been using Staminex for years before this job and had only thought of it as a supplement that gave me the vitamins, proteins and minerals that I needed on a daily basis. It was only when I started working as a nuclear tech that I discovered it's real potential and benefits. When other coworkers started complaining about how tired and run down they were getting I suggested that they try what I was using. Of course, after the sniff and gag of the first sip (you never claimed that it tasted good and I always warned people that I thought that it looks, smells, and tastes like farm dirt, and there is nothing better to grow big and healthy plants and animals than farm dirt! Actually, my wife sometimes asks me if I had my 'dirt' in the morning.) I got some converts who swore that they could feel the results after just the first few days. Some went for the RDA because it tasted better and didn't have any meat in it and others went for the Over 40 for obvious reasons but, all in all, they were impressed with the product and the results. So I can positively say that three out of five nuclear workers prefer Lewis Laboratory products over beer and burritos! In my opinion, your products have been field tested in some of the roughest working conditions in the world and have come through for me and fellow coworkers. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a supplement to help them get over tough working and living conditions.

Our cat is diabetic, and our vet said he needs to eat wet (canned) food rather than dry.
